This December, the Tourism Congress will be held at the Westin Ottawa Hotel, steps from Parliament Hill and the heart of government activity in Canada. Delegates from across the country will once again converge on Ottawa and interact with the elected officials and decision-makers whose departments and agencies impact the travel and tourism industry.

President and CEO of Banff Lake Louise Tourism

With over a decade in the travel industry, Leslie brings her experience with adventure, student and wellness tourism to her position as President and CEO of Banff Lake Louise Tourism. Due to her planning and strategizing abilities, Leslie has an impressive record of sales and marketing successes. She holds a B.P.H.E./B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Queen’s University.

Prior to joining Banff Lake Louise Tourism, Leslie was Managing Director of the Canadian division of wellness industry giant Spafinder Wellness 365. Leslie served as commercial director for TUI Education North America, a division of TUI Travel Group - a global leader in the travel industry. Based in Toronto, she was responsible for leading the sales, marketing, and business development functions for seven student travel brands in Canada and the U.S. Earlier with TUI, Leslie was executive vice president of sales and marketing for their Quark Expeditions brand, a polar expedition company.

 

 

Annick

 Annick Robichaud Butland

Manager of Admissions and Group Tours at Hopewell Rocks

Annick’s career in the tourism industry began ten years ago when she started as a department assistant manager at Hopewell Rocks. Never one to shy away from new opportunity, Annick has since represented the company in itinerary development, special events, trade and travel and social media to name a few. Annick’s management skill-set and deep appreciation for the Bay of Fundy’s unique, rugged beauty has helped her push Hopewell Rocks to the next level.

Annick, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management, dedicates her downtime to volunteering and working at Harvest House Atlantic, assisting with community relations, special fundraising events and program development. The organization offers shelter, meals and recovery programs to those in need.
